Clock

I love looking at our blog, watching the Ethiopian clock. Somehow, when I'm looking at the clock, and imagining what A&K are doing, it makes me feel closer to them. I particularly enjoy picturing them tucked into their beds...as it is hard for me to imagine their days. Cannot wait til we get new photos!!! We did get teff flour (thanks to Auntie Sharla) and need to try our hand at injera, we'll keep you posted on that one.

We've heard the changes in procedure may just be rumors, at this point. Apparently, if families have a court date by April 9th, no changes. I imagine, the government needed time to sort through the change. We'll see what happens, and pray, as before, that our paperwork moves through the channels quickly. We still have our ever hopeful eyes on that late April embassy appointment.

We made our appointment with the travel clinic at the health department for the typhoid vaccine. We might as well be completely ready to hop on a plane, right? (Paul is just thanking his lucky stars it comes in an oral format rather than another injection!)

We're also on the lookout for bunkbeds, or kids beds. We're not even sure everything we need to get done, gotta get an electrician to fix the smoke detector, should probably be making a list.

  2. We got the oral typhoid too! We didn't have any problems with it. And the best part (besides needing one less shot) was that it lasts 5 years instead of the shot's 2 years. So... it'll last long enough to go back for more babies! :)
