"Muppets in Space"
We watched that last night as a family. Kebrom promptly fell asleep, after insisting he wasn't tired.
Atsede was so cute as she tried to grasp the difference between what is real, and what is not real...what is funny, and what is scary.
When we were at Grandma's house, there is a frog nightlight. It's big & sits on the floor; the size of a large toad. Both Atsede & Kebrom wanted to know if it was nice, or if it would bite.
Another note, both kids have serious concerns about fish. Atsede mimics one chomping hard on an arm. Do fish in Ethiopia bite? Or, do they tell kids that to keep them out of the water?
A&K do not grasp the difference between real & pretend. Is it because things they counted on, like family, could not be trusted? Is it because they're young? Is it because of the cultural difference? These are some the things an adoptive mom spends great amounts of time pondering.
