They love the fair!!

I'd been very concerned, with the county fair approaching & our older kids involvement with 4H means lots of craziness at the fair. And, I just have to say...it's been going really well!

Atsede & Kebrom had a bit of trouble that first day, with wanting to run around. Then, Paul kept them home the day we moved the lambs in & the older kids were showing their llamas. Steers were being moved in at the same time & it terrified me, my little ones with those big steers walking around.

The double stroller has been a complete life saver. They LOVE their stroller!! We've spent HOURS strolling up & down the llama aisle, feeding handfuls of pellets to those friendly, gentle creatures. We've gone around & around the show ring, through the sheep barn, watched siblings show animals. We even ventured across the fairgrounds today to the home arts building. A&K shared a HUGE corn on the cob & thought that was just plain wonderful. They thought Geoffrey's Viking from the Son's of Norway booth looked 'guck.'

Today, we only planned to stop in for a short time, as I didn't need to be there, & A&K chanted, 'NO HOME, NO HOME' whenever I tried to leave. We were there for about 5-1/2 hours.

Was thinking today, their English is improving so much, we don't hear a lot of Tigrinia or Amharic anymore. Shint, ka ka, koi, rabek, that might be the extent of it. I love that Ethiopian accent & will sorely miss it when it's gone.

And, I think it's possible Atsede & Kebrom are going to miss the fair!

Tomorrow they are looking forward to riding the John Deere trikes & possibly heading down the big slide. Atsede has pointed & expressed her desire to try it more than once. Kebrom doesn't much like the look of the rides, in fact, he hangs onto me tighter, if he'd happen to catch a glimpse of the rides.
