New Family Photo

We had our second post placement visit Wednesday afternoon. It's always an interesting experience, having the social worker ask us questions & delve into the why's, the feelings.

But...it was amazing for her to read back what we'd talked about 3 months ago at our first visit. Atsede & Kebrom were afraid to go to bed...no more. Atsede wouldn't eat meat, and now, she insists Arby's roast beef sandwiches are 'her favorite color.' Atsede was not showing much physical affection, and now, she's constantly climbing into an available lap. No more tantrums.

I can't believe how far we've come in just 3 months (5 months home)!! Life is beginning to feel a new normal. Evenings are full of laughter & rough housing.

We signed & returned the papers to our attorney, and now just await our court date to make legal in American courts what the Ethopian government did in April...and what God did in our hearts last January.
