Two full weeks
Our paperwork has been in the translation office for two full weeks. I know, seems like longer, doesn't it? Other families in our IAG web group certainly make the waiting easier...so I hate to think what it would be like otherwise!
The kids should have received our second care packages last Sunday. The family who took them should have their visa appointment today and be returning to the states this weekend, which should mean (and no, I'm not a stalker)...NEW PHOTOS, YIPPEE!! We love going through the photos over & over (and over!).
The Mekele Care Center was also moved, over the weekend, to a larger facility. It's hard, in a way, that now I can't picture any of the rooms the kids are in. I'm hoping the new photos give us a glimpse at their new digs.
Over the weekend we picked up a couple of things we'll need to travel, getting more ready all the time.
JoyLynn had her pediatric cardiology appointment on Monday. Yes, she does have an irregular rhythym. Yes, she needs to have some further testing...BUT, the doctor doesn't believe it will be a an issue. "It is most likely benign," he kept repeating. We're going in for the 24 hour test today; they hook her up & she does all of her regular activities with it on. Next week, she gets to do a treadmill test. I say, "gets to do" because she seems to be looking forward to running on a treadmill!
