It just keeps getting better!!
Today, we dipped pretzels in almond bark for Christmas. "FROSTING ON CHIPS???" Atsede exclaimed...when I told her yes, we got quite the happy dance. The dance was most likely fueled by the Christmas candy necklace she had made & promptly eaten, but it was definately also fueled by the pretzels.
Kebrom is most excited that tonight we're going to get on a school bus and look at Christmas lights. I only told him yesterday, as I figured the wait would be so hard on him. We had many errands yesterday & anyone that paid any attention to him, was told all about the bus and the lights.
Last night, Kebrom asked Paul if he would get any presents on the bus. In his mind, a bus...presents...perfect world. He was fine when he was told no, but I do have to admit, it was a great idea.
We've definately had our ups & downs these last 7 months, but the last week has been absolutely delightful. I don't think we've had a single issue. It's so wonderful to see Atsede & Kebrom's personalities come forward. Hopefully, the scared, withdrawn side of them will be restored & we will continue to see more of these pleasant, delightful, helpful children.
And for tonight...let there be Christmas lights!
